The new live site can be found at wrh.on.ca/OnlineBooking.

Reservations from Tuesday January 4 will be open from 12:01 am on Monday.

For anyone who used a previous online link for previous bookings, please ignore it and use the new link.

Residents can also make an appointment by calling 519-973-4443. Phones are answered Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please have your health card ready.

The hospital also wants to remind everyone that there is no change to the online link to book COVID-19 vaccines which can be found at www.wevax.ca.

The move to a new online reservation system for COVID-19 tests follows a change in the Ontario government’s testing criteria announced last week.

The new criteria mandated by the province mainly allow only eligible people who show symptoms to make an appointment for molecular tests (PCR or rapid molecular tests) at the COVID-19 Assessment Center on the Ouellette campus.

The only asymptomatic people who can be tested are those from First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities; those who are involved in the admission or who reside in a collective living environment or those who find themselves in the context of a confirmed or suspected epidemic.

The opening hours of the COVID-19 Assessment Center at Campus Ouellette are every day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For the PUMA clinic, there is no change in eligibility for testing appointments which are open to children aged three months to 17 years. The opening hours of the PUMA clinic are from noon to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
